Half Term

Escaping the quiet of The Shire for a busy few days in Curnow, Hannah dived into gardens, art, walks, music, food, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and making selfies. We climbed UP rather than went round open gardens at Flushing, because the owners seemed to have a love of verticalness as opposed to the more traditional horizontal gardens you find elsewhere. The Art Festival was excellent, with local talent shining. After exploring the creek at Mylor, we had an evening sail in The Carrick Roads; finishing the visit with a lovely day at Beautiful Crantock. We collected the selfies into a short video.

First Chiminea Evening

Hannah joined us for Pimms and nibbles on a clear evening, with fireworks on the skyline and the promise of a bank holiday long weekend ahead.

Messini

Two amazing weeks in sunny Messini with great company, activities and food. What more could you want? Well another two weeks for starters..... At Heathrow we bumped into Metz and Torrie who were 'delighted' to holiday with us again! Soon we were paddling out on pristine glassy mornings, with the snowcapped Peleponnese mountains to the East and turtles surfacing around us. Magical.
Then it was time for sailing over for drinks at Petalidi, racing catamarans, capsizing dinghies and evening tennis.
As soon as Tim arrived, we got stuck into breaking ourselves further behind the ski boats, with bruises, face plants and twisted ankles. Tim set the pace on the injuries and sailing front, learning how to do it all properly (and what to do when it all goes wrong).
We managed a bike ride into the nearby hills, through streams, under birds of prey and dodging snakes and lizards. Fabulous meals were consumed, wind and swell were harnessed for windsurf and SUP madness and on the last day we visited beautiful waterfalls where we saw freshwater crabs, frogs, dragonflies and the prettiest turquoise pools.
